CHANEL is seeking an Alterations Specialist in New York to produce high-quality alterations within time standards. You will alter and mend garments, fit clients, advise on styling, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of luxury retail alterations experience.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics and sewing techniques.
• Excellent client service and communication.
• Able to work under time constraints.
• Flexible schedule including late nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Alter and repair garments to client specifications.
• Fit garments on clients and suggest styling and fitting advice.
• Label and record alterations required for each item.
• Maintain sewing machines and equipment in good working order.
• Build positive relationships with clients and the boutique team.
• Coordinate with management to meet CHANEL standards.
