Job summary

Hotel Bennett in Charleston, SC is seeking a part-time Pool Server to deliver luxurious service at the rooftop pool deck, cabanas and bar lounge. You will greet guests, take and deliver food and beverage orders, and promote menu items with confident, friendly upselling techniques.

Applicants should be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and possess or be willing to obtain ServSafe Alcohol certification and a South Carolina ABL Server License within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food & beverage knowledge strongly preferred.
• Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Food safety certification preferred.
• Complete the SC ServSafe Alcohol Online Course & Exam within 30 days of hire.
• Possess a valid SC ABL Server License within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival in a friendly, positive manner.
• Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques.
• Respond quickly to the guest’s requests, keeping a sense of urgency.
• Maintain clean station and table setups and perform duties as assigned by Rooftop Supervisor/Manager.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes to guide guests.
