Job summary

The Charleston Place is seeking a Pool Bartender to expertly mix and serve beverages, wine and light bites by the pool and bar areas.

You will greet guests, take orders, describe dishes and wines, and ensure a clean, compliant bar environment while maintaining inventory and delivering high guest satisfaction.

Training new hires, following safety regulations, and collaborating with front-of-house to provide seamless service will be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and guest-relations skills.
• Proficient in POS systems and basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of table settings and service ware.
• Ability to describe menu items, pricing and preparation methods; use suggestive selling.
• Understanding of alcohol service laws and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages and food to guests.
• Oversee bar maintenance and inventory management.
• Describe dishes, wines, and cocktails to guests; make recommendations.
• Provide training to new hires on spirits and cocktail list.
• Maintain a clean, safe bar environment and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Identify guest preferences and VIPs; deliver exceptional service.
