Job summary

The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an In-Room Dining Assistant to deliver luxury in-room dining experiences. You will take guest food and beverage orders, communicate with the kitchen and service team, and ensure seamless in-room dining service.

Full-time AM and PM shifts are available, with weekend and holiday availability required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance after 60 days, floating holidays, sick pay, and vacation (40 hours) after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Hospitality or cashier experience preferred.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Proficient with POS and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls for in-room dining orders professionally.
• Take guest orders accurately, accommodate dietary needs and requests.
• Enter orders into the POS and relay details to kitchen/service staff.
• Provide menu information, ingredients, and recommendations.
• Ensure orders are prepared and delivered per service standards.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, promotions, and specials.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff for timely delivery.
• Present checks and process payments when required.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the department.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors.
