Job summary

American Leadership Academy's Radiance Elementary campus in the East Valley is hiring a Lunch/Recess Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. You will supervise students in the cafeteria and on the playground, support healthy eating habits, and reinforce positive behavior.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students during lunch and recess to ensure safety and well-being in cafeteria and playground.
• Promote positive behavior and social interactions, address conflicts and enforce school policies.
• Assist students with opening food containers, utensils, and drinks.
• Encourage healthy eating habits and nutritious choices.
• Address minor disputes calmly and guide toward resolution.
• Respond to emergencies or accidents and alert staff as needed.
• Assist in keeping cafeteria and play areas clean, wipe tables, collect trash.
• Engage with students during recess and encourage inclusive play.
• Model respectful behavior and foster a caring environment.

Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. American Leadership Academy is accepting applications for Lunch/Recess Aide for the 2026-2027 school year for our Radiance Elementary campus located in the East Valley. Candidates must be able to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor students during lunch and recess to ensure their safety and well-being, providing constant supervision in the cafeteria and on the playground.
• Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students, addressing conflicts or issues as they arise and implementing school behavior policies.
• Help students with opening food containers, utensils, and drinks, ensuring they have everything they need to enjoy their meals.
• Promote healthy eating habits by encouraging students to try new foods and make nutritious choices.
• Address minor disputes or conflicts between students calmly and effectively, guiding them toward resolution.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies or accidents, administering first aid if necessary and alerting appropriate staff as needed.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria and play areas, ensuring that tables are wiped down and trash is collected.
• Engage with students during recess, encouraging inclusive play and ensuring that all students are participating and having fun.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive environment by modeling appropriate behavior and encouraging students to treat each other kindly.
• Other duties as assigned.
