Responsibilities

• Monitor students during lunch and recess to ensure safety and well-being, supervising in cafeteria and on playground.
• Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students, addressing conflicts as they arise.
• Help students with opening food containers, utensils, and drinks to ensure they can eat comfortably.
• Encourage healthy eating habits by promoting nutritious choices.
• Respond calmly to minor disputes and guide students toward resolution.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies, administer basic first aid if needed, and alert staff as required.
• Maintain cleanliness in cafeteria and play areas by wiping tables and collecting trash.
• Engage with students during recess to encourage inclusive play and participation.
• Model respectful behavior to foster an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor students during lunch and recess to ensure their safety and well-being, providing constant supervision in the cafeteria and on the playground.
• Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students, addressing conflicts or issues as they arise and implementing school behavior policies.
• Help students with opening food containers, utensils, and drinks, ensuring they have everything they need to enjoy their meals.
• Promote healthy eating habits by encouraging students to try new foods and make nutritious choices.
• Address minor disputes or conflicts between students calmly and effectively, guiding them toward resolution.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies or accidents, administering first aid if necessary and alerting appropriate staff as needed.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria and play areas, ensuring that tables are wiped down and trash is collected.
• Engage with students during recess, encouraging inclusive play and ensuring that all students are participating and having fun.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive environment by modeling appropriate behavior and encouraging students to treat each other kindly.
• Other duties as assigned.
