Job summary

Blue Origin in California is seeking a Senior Thermal Hardware Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for cold plates, heat exchangers, and radiators on deep space vehicle programs.

You will own the technical plan, manage talent across geographic locations, and drive delivery with a focus on risk management, cost control, and program milestones, while mentoring engineers and aligning with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of thermal/heat transfer fundamentals.
• Experience with deep space thermal systems and aerospace certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering thermal hardware for deep space vehicles.
• Define and oversee technical plans aligning with customer requirements.
• Identify and mitigate programmatic and technical risks.
• Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to meet cost and schedule targets.
• Guide verification, validation, and testing of thermal components.
