Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain the Lunar MK1 Vehicle Test Bed software infrastructure. You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable applications and systems that ensure correctness and performance of flight software, avionics, and ground support equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, teamwork, and detailed attention to safety-critical software in a hardware-in-the-loop environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (CS/Software/Electrical/Aerospace).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in software development or systems engineering.
• Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience deploying production distributed systems using GitLab, CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform.
• Solid understanding of IP networking and device drivers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the VTB software infrastructure and related tooling.
• Integrate avionics, flight software, and ground software with the VTB.
• Diagnose and fix software issues across install, deploy, configure, and runtime levels.
