Blue Origin LLC seeks a Lunar Operations Safety Engineer III to lead safety analyses for lunar operations. You will develop FHAs, FMECAs, and FTAs, create Hazard Reports, and coordinate operational safety controls across mission operations, safety, and engineering teams.

The role requires a strong background in system safety and spacecraft operations, with responsibilities spanning verification, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or related engineering.
• 6+ years of system safety or systems engineering experience.
• Experience performing safety analyses on safety critical systems.
• Ability to lead and coordinate safety analysis across multiple teams.
• Knowledge of spacecraft system and subsystem functionality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development and maintenance of FHAs, FMECAs, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for Mission Operations.
• Develop and support Hazard Reports and operational content.
• Coordinate completion of safety analyses with guidance from stakeholders and experts.
• Collaborate with Human Integration to implement operational controls.
• Ensure safety controls are integrated into procedures, displays, handbooks, and flight rules.
• Support verification and validation of safety requirements and maintain traceability.
