Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Seattle, WA, seeks an experienced program manager to lead Lunar Permanence initiatives and support the Lunar PMO’s cross-functional engagement with NASA and other U.S. Government stakeholders.

You will help drive contract execution, manage technical forums, and ensure milestones while coordinating with engineering, finance, production, and contracts teams. You will lead study contracts, support external reviews, and write narratives for executive updates, while maintaining

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of experience in program/project management with complex technical systems.
• Experience in establishing business and product development processes.
• Experience in conducting/supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills.
• Demonstrated ability building trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results.
• Experience working with and presenting to senior leadership.
• Experience working collaboratively in small and large teams on fast-paced projects.
• Ability to comfortably work in a rapidly changing ambiguous environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts on study contracts and task orders as delegated by the lead customer integrator.
• Support contract alignment and full lifecycle of quick-response activities across the program.
• Management (planning and execution) of technical forums with customers.
• Drive alignment, messaging, preparation, and execution of external reviews in partnership with review owners to ensure customer success.
• Lead improvement initiatives in support of effective communication, alignment, and execution across Lunar Programs.
• Write effective narratives and program updates, and present them effectively to stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Support Program operations reporting with a focus on the performance of execution - including finance, organizational planning, staffing, tasking, and risk assessments.
