Job summary

Gauge Engineering Services, LLC seeks an experienced Metrology Team Lead to support dimensional inspection, alignment, and verification on satellite hardware using Laser Trackers, CMMs, Romer Arms, and 3D scanning.

The ideal candidate will lead the metrology team, coordinating priorities and ensuring accurate measurements in a high-accuracy manufacturing environment, with relocation assistance to Midland, TX.

Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing, automotive production, mechanical assembly, or precision inspection.
• Experience supporting dimensional inspection and verification on complex hardware in aerospace/manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with metrology equipment and software (SA, PC-DMIS, CMM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily metrology activities and coordinate priorities.
• Assign work and ensure measurement tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering to resolve measurement issues.
• Manage data evaluation, inspection reports, and traceability documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and compliance with ASME Y14.5 and ISO 17025.
