Job summary

Barrios Technology is seeking a Structures and Mechanisms Engineer, HLS, to join the JETSII Contract. The role focuses on risk-based structural reviews, verification planning, and NASA standard compliance for GFP hardware and lunar lander components.

The engineer will lead root-cause analysis, perform CAD/FEA work with Creo, FEMAP, NX, and Nastran, and coordinate with multiple NASA and contractor teams to ensure readiness for milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; fifteen (15) years of related experience.
• Experience designing, analyzing, or building structural or mechanical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk based structural insight reviews of provider deliverables (data books, stress analysis, verification plans).
• Conduct requirements traceability mapping between HLS structural requirements and provider verification events.
• Review compliance with HLS design and construction standards across provider hardware.
• Review test plans, test reports, and datasets for human rated lunar lander structural hardware.
• Coordinate with NASA GFP and other teams to ensure proper interpretation of verification evidence.
