Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior fluids engineer to coordinate the design of fluid subsystems for the MK1 cargo lander. You will work on pressurization, pneumatics, and reaction control, using Creo CAD and ANSYS for analysis, and deliver verifiable reports in line with ASME Y14.5 standards.

You’ll lead testing, data analysis, and collaborate across teams to ensure system compatibility and risk-aware decisions. Applicants should have a B.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion and fluid systems.
• Demonstrated experience with spacecraft or launch vehicle fluid system component design or test.
• Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles in the detail design of aerospace or equivalent type fluid systems and components.
• Solid understanding of fluid components such as valves, regulators, tubing and fittings.
• Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes and quality control relative to tubes/piping and machined components.
• Working knowledge of materials and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Design and route fluid subsystems (pressurization, pneumatics, reaction control).
• Work with fluid components (valves, regulators, pressure vessels and instrumentation).
• Work with 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and FEA programs (ANSYS Preferred).
• Deliver completed designs using ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards with clear analysis reports.
• Perform component verification of internally and externally sourced components to company standards.
• Coordinate with other groups to ensure systems work together and resolve issues with calculated risk.
• Lead and participate in component and system level testing and data analysis.
• Manage projects including vendor management, scheduling, and budget tracking.
