Job summary

Ritter Lumber in Texas seeks a Will Call Loader to support customer fulfillment and inventory accuracy in the lumber yard. The role is cross-trained to handle will-call orders, cashiering, loading, and basic lumber cutting, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Reporting to the Inventory Manager, you will ensure will-call processes align with company standards and contribute to inventory and receiving efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in cashiering, warehouse operations, or customer service preferred.
• Experience in lumber and building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Will-Call Fulfillment & Customer Support: Greet and assist customers during pickups, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of will-call orders.
• Cashiering & Transaction Processing: Process cash, credit, and electronic payments; balance cash drawer and record transactions.
• Loading & Material Handling: Safely load LBM and millwork into customer vehicles; assist with unloading deliveries and organize stock.
• Lumber Cutting & Equipment Operation: Cut lumber to specified dimensions; operate forklifts, saws, and other equipment.
• Inventory Support & Product Tagging: Ensure correct pricing and tagging; monitor stock levels and communicate needs or discrepancies.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow company policies on equipment use, lifting techniques, and safety; maintain clean work area.
• Process Accountability: Execute will-call procedures; support inventory control and shrink reduction.
