Job summary

Apscareerportal in Houston, TX is seeking a Will Call Loader to support customer pickups and inventory accuracy in the lumber yard. This cross-trained role handles will-call orders, product handling, cashiering, loading, and basic lumber cutting, with safety and accuracy at the forefront.

Reporting to the Inventory Manager, you will work with the inventory and receiving teams to ensure timely fulfillment, proper tagging, and stock control while delivering courteous service to customers.

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering or warehouse operations experience preferred.
• Experience in lumber and building materials is a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers during pickups, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of will call orders.
• Process cash, credit, and electronic payments and balance the cash drawer.
• Safely load lumber and millwork into customer vehicles; assist with unloading deliveries and organizing stock.
• Cut lumber to specified dimensions and operate forklifts, saws, and other equipment safely.
• Tag products, monitor stock levels, and report discrepancies to the Inventory Manager.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
• Execute will call procedures and support inventory control efforts.
