Tahlequah Lumber Co Inc. is looking for a yard associate to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a clean, efficient lumberyard. You will assist customers in person and by phone, help with orders, and ensure accurate loading and inventory.

The role emphasizes product knowledge, teamwork, and a commitment to learning about our retail offerings. This position is on-site and fast-paced, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and professional attitude.
• Willingness to continue learning about products and services.
• Organized, self-starter who can think independently and solve problems.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of sales methods and techniques.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone, assist with questions and add-on sales.
• Use point-of-sale systems for price lookups and order entries.
• Keep lumberyard clean and inviting; perform housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Notify customers of promotions and new products.
• Assist with inventory and loading customers' vehicles.
• Support yard staff and ensure safety and store policies are followed.
