Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a reliable yard associate to help customers with yard material at our onsite store. The role includes loading, unloading, stocking, and maintaining a safe work environment.

You will work closely with sales and yard teams to ensure prompt, coordinated customer service and accuracy in orders. Starting wages are based on experience, with room to grow through training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
• 1-3 months experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not necessary.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must successfully pass our MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with yard material and direct to needed items.
• Load, unload and stock materials in the lumber yard and warehouse.
• Maintain a safe work environment and operate forklifts/light trucks after training.
• Check materials loaded against paid invoices for accuracy.
• Develop knowledge of materials, locations and uses to assist customers.
• May pull loads for delivery and prepare them for shipment.
