Job summary

Lezzer Lumber in Valencia, PA is seeking a Yard Associate - Delivery Driver to join our team. You will deliver customer orders using our delivery vehicles, assist with loading, and perform basic yard duties while maintaining safety and accuracy.

The role requires an active driver’s license, ability to pass pre-employment screening, and familiarity with lumber and building materials. Prior delivery experience and customer service skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active driver’s license with medical card.
• Pre-employment drug screen and random testing per policy.
• Ability to calculate weights for material distribution.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials.
• Experience in merchandise delivery and customer service preferred.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Superior customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders using location vehicles and safe driving practices.
• Assist in loading delivery vehicles with orders or freight.
• Operate vehicles (flatbeds, pickups, box trucks) safely.
• Provide courteous delivery service to customers and representatives.
• Complete delivery invoices and vehicle documents accurately.
• Report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs to Dispatcher/Yard Manager.
• Perform yard housekeeping and return merchandise as requested.
• Complete DOT pre/post trip inspections and maintenance checks.
