Job summary

Parr Lumber Company in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Lumber Yard Associate to load customer orders and assist in yard operations. This is an outdoor, all-weather role requiring safe forklift use and strong customer service. You will help with materials, inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized yard.

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift license preferred.
• English literacy (speak, write, read) required.
• Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles, practices and protocols.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber, panel products and other building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret picking tickets and invoices.
• Attention to detail in a busy work environment.
• General knowledge and use of power tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely load customer vehicles with orders of building materials.
• Complete paperwork per company policy and receive inventory with accuracy.
• Inspect stock and deposits, and place inventory correctly.
• Keep yard and warehouse clean and organized.
• Perform daily safety inspections and operate equipment safely.
