Job summary

Good Wood Nashville is seeking an Operations Manager to run the day-to-day warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, and logistics. You’ll own the warehouse, yard, scheduling, and crew, while collaborating with the owner on purchasing and growth decisions.

You’ll be on the floor, not behind a desk, tackling shipping challenges and slab selections with designers. The role requires 4+ years in operations, forklift certification, strong inventory systems, and a proven ability to lead a small team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in operations, warehouse, distribution, or building-materials management, including supervising people.
• Strong knowledge of inventory systems and spreadsheets.
• Forklift certification required; able to operate and maintain equipment.
• Experience coordinating purchasing, scheduling, and logistics with small teams.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory and purchasing, warehouse and yard, and fulfillment and freight.
• Schedule and lead the warehouse team; manage will-call and job-site drops.
• Coordinate local delivery routes and national shipping; fix operational bottlenecks.
• Track project costs, material usage, and waste; report to owner.
