Job summary

Big River Forest Products in Jackson, MS is seeking a Sales Representative who is a highly motivated, self-starting professional to deliver excellent customer service and grow lumber sales.

You will develop relationships with an established customer base, prospect new clients across regions and segments, and collaborate with sawmill staff to align production with demand. This full-time, on-site role requires analytical thinking and a strong sales orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with an established customer base.
• Prospect and call on potential new customers across regions and segments (retail, construction, packaging, wholesale).
• Collaborate with sawmill staff to sell upcoming production.
• Implement sales strategies to maximize margins.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Field inquiries on availability and pricing of lumber.
• Attend customer meetings and trade shows.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop sales initiatives for account growth.
