St Peter Do it Best Lumber is seeking a Sales Associate to provide outstanding customer service, assist customers on the floor and over the phone, and help maintain a clean, inviting store environment. You will learn our products, support promotions, and assist with loading, stocking, and merchandising to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, willingness to learn, and the ability to handle everyday store tasks while upholding store policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and professional attitude.
• Working knowledge of store products and willingness to learn.
• Organized self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
• Knowledge of effective sales methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of POS systems to assist with price lookups, special orders, and entry.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone, assist with questions, find merchandise, and suggest add-ons or processing special orders.
• Create an inviting sales floor environment with cleanliness and organization.
• Notify customers of promotions and new products.
• Assist loading products into customers' vehicles as needed.
• Merchandise according to planograms and maintain signage.
• Restock shelves and assist with regular inventory.
• Face and front products at shift start and end.
• Support store staff with other tasks as needed.
• Be vigilant for shoplifters and follow policy.
• Attend staff meetings and adhere to policies and safety standards.
• Be able to cut keys for customers.
