Job summary

Apalachee Pole Company, Inc. is seeking a Millwright with a strong background in maintenance to support a lumber manufacturing environment.

This full-time position offers a long-term career near home and requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, welding, and safety compliance. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, install parts, and collaborate with team members to keep machines running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools and hoists.
• Inspect or test damaged parts and report to supervisors.
• Install or replace machine parts per production specifications.
• Lubricate machines and apply materials per procedures.
• Set up welding operations and fabricate metal components.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Clean machines and machine parts using solvents, cloths, air tools, and hoses.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools and hoists.
• Inspect parts and report repair needs to supervisors.
• Install or replace machine parts according to specs.
• Lubricate or apply adhesives to machine parts as required.
• Track time and parts using work orders and maintenance system.
• Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance.
• Start machines to observe operation and detect issues.
• Collaborate with others to repair or move equipment.
• Follow blueprints or verbal instructions for wiring and equipment layout.
• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety rules.
