Job summary

UFP Industries in Dallas, TX is seeking a General Laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements. You will move, stack, label, and prepare items for production and shipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material and attach corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
