Bolster Hardware is seeking a Lumber & Building Materials Sales & Estimating Manager or Director to oversee sales operations, drive revenue growth, and manage relationships with contractors, builders, and developers in central Tennessee.

The role focuses on setting sales goals, analyzing market trends, negotiating major contracts, and leading inside/outside sales teams to deliver profitable margins and reliable project bids.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in lumber and building materials or construction supply industry.
• Experience building pricing strategies to balance competitive pricing with gross margin
• Proven skills in contract negotiation, financial analysis and inventory management
• Strong B2B closing skills to drive sales and maintain profitable margins
• Ideal candidate would be in central TN.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performance lumber and building materials sales team.
• Recruit externally and develop internal bench.
• Coach inside and outside sales reps to meet objectives.
• Lead sales and yard operations to drive sales, customer satisfaction, and safety compliance.
• Build long-term relationships with builders, contractors and large-scale customers.
• Oversee material takeoffs, blueprint reading, and accurate price quotes.
• Review material estimates, analyze pricing, and approve customer bids.
• Coordinate with inventory and yard management for timely deliveries.
• Manage delivery fleet and maintenance.
• Financial oversight - analysis of financial results, profit margins, pricing strategies and budgets.
• Manage vendor relationships - inventory flow and large-scale purchasing contracts.
