Job summary

Papé Machinery, the premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a Rental Territory Manager to promote our short-term rental fleet in the Sacramento area. You will report to the Regional Rental Manager and drive revenue through proactive outreach to customers and partners.

You will spend the majority of your time calling on customers, processing leads within 24 hours, and building relationships with re-rental partners to maximize fleet utilization and department results.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
• Knowledge and experience of heavy equipment preferred. John Deere knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience of equipment rentals is ideal.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
• Driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promote the short-term rental fleet in the assigned territory.
• Assist the Regional Rental Manager with tasks and duties as needed.
• Spend a minimum of 80% of time calling on customers and follow up rental leads within 24 hours.
• Build relationships with re-rental partners and other companies to increase department revenue through re-rentals.
• Monitor fleet usage and territory management to meet department goals.
