Job summary

CheckPointTire & Service Center is seeking a Lube and Tire Technician in the Greater Springfield Area. This role performs oil changes, tire services, alignments, and basic diagnostics while driving customers and supporting parts pickup.

Expect shop upkeep, safety adherence, and active participation in inspections. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 18, with a preference for automotive knowledge.

Qualifications

• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
• A general understanding of automotive mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their place of residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles following all guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and surroundings; observes safety procedures.
