Job summary

Plaza Tire Service in Springfield, IL is hiring a Lube and Tire Technician to perform oil changes, tire and wheel services, and basic vehicle care. You will also drive customers, pick up parts, and keep the shop clean while adhering to safety standards.

The role offers $16-$19 per hour, with benefits including tuition reimbursement, paid time off, life/health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
• General understanding of automotive mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following all guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by management.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to management.
