Job summary

Del Grande Dealer Group is seeking a qualified Lube Technician in Salinas, CA. You will inspect and perform oil changes, fluid checks, and essential repairs to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

The role requires automotive knowledge, diagnostic ability, and a willingness to learn new procedures. ASE certification is preferred; DMV check is required. Salary ranges from $17.95 to $50 per hour, depending on experience and skills.

Responsibilities

As a Lube Technician,you will create a world-class automotive retail experience by inspecting and performing necessary repair work to vehicles.

What you'll be working on:

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil train plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing, as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

What you need to bring to the table:

• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• One year in a service department
• DMV Check required

***You must have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

Salary:$17.95-$50/hr

*Pay is based on applicable experience and skills.
