Sonic Automotive, Inc. seeks a Lube Technician for Honda of Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA. You will perform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs to ensure vehicles stay in top condition, in a fast-paced dealership setting.

Job Description

Summary

The Lube Technician, will be responsible for performing quick service and routine maintenance to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs for customer vehicles.
• Conduct tire inspections, including patching tires and checking air pressure.
• Inspect and replace air and cabin filters as needed.
• Ensure vehicle fluids (brake, transmission, coolant, etc.) are at proper levels.
• Perform quick inspections of belts, hoses, and other basic vehicle components.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to dealership and industry standards.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of Automotive Service Technicianexperience (or Tire/Oil Change).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Subaru (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

The Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $21.50.

Union contract, pay and benefits.

Schedule:

• Full Time
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Off Sundays
