Job summary

Poway Honda is seeking a Lube Technician to perform oil changes and lubrication services, coordinating with the Production Foreman to ensure efficient repairs. The role includes inspecting vehicles, referring needed repairs, and maintaining clean work areas in a fast-paced shop.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, the ability to pass pre-employment checks, and 1+ years of automotive service experience; ASE or trade certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment checks.
• 1+ years of Automotive Service Technician experience (or Tire/Oil Change).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Honda/Acura (or multi) brand experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all automotive lubrication services (oil changes, topping off fluids, etc).
• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (battery, lights, tires) and refer repairs to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair order and proceed to service lift.
• Lubricate entire car while looking for other items needing repair.
• Ensure customer’s car is kept clean.
• Ensure equipment, especially lifts, is in proper working order.
• Use appropriate amounts of materials and supplies.
• Follow all safety policies and report accidents.

Salary: $20.00 per hour

(The Lube Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $20.00.)

TheLube Technicianwill be responsible for lubricating cars in a quick, yet thorough manner, and for carrying out his responsibilities through coordination with the Production Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all automotive lubrication services (oil changes, topping off fluids, etc)
• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e., battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair order from either the Service Salesman or the Production Foreman and proceed to service lift.
• Lubricate entire car while looking for other items which may need repair.
• Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of Automotive Service Technicianexperience (or Tire/Oil Change).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Honda/Acura (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

Compensation:$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Full Time
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Sundays off
