Job summary

Salinas Honda is seeking a Lube Technician to deliver a world-class automotive retail experience by inspecting and performing repair work on vehicles. You will be part of a team focused on guest satisfaction and safety, with comprehensive training and opportunities for growth.

The role requires strong automotive knowledge, a valid driver's license, and the ability to learn new technology and procedures. ASE certification is preferred, and DMV checks are required as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Understanding of automobiles and ability to diagnose quickly.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new repair procedures and tech.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ASE certification/technical degree is preferred.
• One year in a service department is desirable.
• DMV check required.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components for security and proper function.
• Drive the vehicle for testing and check/ refill fluids as needed.
• Ensure correct tire pressure and lubricate fittings.
• Install oil train plug and oil filter, communicate oil levels.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues with accuracy.
• Repair or replace worn parts before breakdowns.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and hand tools as needed.
