Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is hiring Lube Technicians for our Shawnee Mission dealership locations, including Shawnee Mission Kia and BMW/MINI of Shawnee Mission. You will perform essential maintenance services to keep customer vehicles safe and reliable, while gaining hands-on experience under seasoned technicians.

The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver license.
Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids).
Ability to perform routine maintenance services (oil/filter changes, tire rotation, fluid checks, battery tests, visual inspections).

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid exchanges, filter replacements.
Complete multi-point vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
Conduct digital vehicle inspections with photos/video for transparent customer communication.
Document findings and service results using dealership systems.
Work with experienced technicians to develop skills and grow professionally.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and proper tool care.
Follow safety policies and environmental regulations.
