Job summary

Ford Dealership in Wisconsin is seeking a Lube Technician to support oil changes, tire mount/balance/repair, battery replacement, air filter changes, and fluid services for various makes and models, primarily Ford. You will explain repairs clearly to customers and work to improve efficiency in the service department.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of automotive experience.
  • Ability to communicate and solve problems in a team setting.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and dealership standards.
  • Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models (primarily Ford).
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
  • Complete video inspections on all vehicles.
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers.
  • Continuously learn new technical information through formal training.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and document findings for repairs.
  • Perform basic maintenance such as tire rotations, replacements/repairs, brake inspections, fluid top-offs, lubrication, batteries, bulbs, etc.

We are seeking a Lube Technician to join our team. Along with the typical oil changes, our team will perform tire mount/balance/repair services, battery replacement, engine/cabin air filter replacement, and some additional fluid services.

Requirements
  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Perform regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models (primarily Fords).
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
  • Complete video inspection on all vehicles
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Basic maintenance including but not limited to: Tire rotations and Tire replacement/repair, Brake Inspection, Fluid top off, Lubrication services, Batteries, Light bulbs, etc.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of automotive experience
  • Must be a team player and communicate/problem solve to achieve department goals
  • Automotive diagnostics and general familiarity with vehicle operating systems desirable
  • Must have a driver's license and a commercially insurable Motor Vehicle Report
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
