Job summary

FMI is seeking a Lube Technician to meet service and repair demands for trucks in Oregon. The role requires documenting services performed clearly for each vehicle and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the shop.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, ordering parts, performing lube and preventive maintenance, and recording hours and parts used. Training programs may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous Lube Technician experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge and skills to perform preventive maintenance on medium-duty trucks.
• Computer knowledge, basic keyboarding skills, and ability to read and write in English.
• Possess basic hand and/or power tools.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a medical card per DOT guidelines.

• Consult with shop foreman/shop manager and read work orders to determine work required.
• Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined.
• Order parts needed for repairs/services.
• Perform basic lube oil and filter services as directed.
• Perform other basic preventive maintenance duties as assigned.
• Legibly and accurately record services performed, time accrued and parts used.
• Inform Foreman when job is complete.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety protocols.
• Duties may include cleaning shop, emptying trash cans, assisting other technicians when required.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Attend & complete required technical training programs and schools as required.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00/hour

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
