LUBEZONE, INC is hiring a Mechanical Technician in Texas. The role involves servicing trucks, trailers and buses with lubrication, inspections, and preventive maintenance, while maintaining a safe shop environment.

You will present customers with service options, provide quotes, and ensure accurate work orders and fleet procedures. A strong mechanical background, OSHA knowledge, and FMCSA inspection ability are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with semi-tractor oil, lubrication, and tire requirements.
• Proven mechanical skills and sound judgment.
• Able to work without supervision and be a self-starter.
• Clear communication with management and customers.
• Capable of FMCSA standards inspections.
• Able to stand, bend or kneel for long periods.
• Willing to work various shift schedules.
• Strong customer service and sales approach.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Service trucks, trailers and buses with lubrication and maintenance.
• Maintain shop area, bays, equipment and tools for safety and cleanliness.
• Direct vehicles in/out of bays; ensure chocks used.
• Follow oil procedures per service flow charts.
• Provide quotes and explain services to customers.
• Verify oil dipstick before directing vehicle usage.
• Complete work orders accurately and timely.
• Ensure fleet service compliance with company procedures.
• Assist with customer concerns and service issues.
• Report safety incidents to management.
• Perform preventive maintenance on store equipment.
• Stock shelves; manage cores and used parts disposal.
• Assist with Lube Services during slow times.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Overview

LUBEZONE IS HIRING!

LubeZone, Inc., a national provider of preventative maintenance solutions for the transportation industry has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Technician!

Responsibilities

• Service trucks, trailers and buses with mechanical, lubrication, preventive maintenance, inspections and oil change services needed.
• Maintain the shop area, including bays, equipment and tools to provide a safe and clean work environment
• Assist with directing vehicles in/out of servicing bays and ensure use of chock blocks.
• Ensure oil and grease procedures are conducted safely and properly in accordance with the flow charts specific to each service.
• Present customers with our sales processes through an informative sales approach which includes informing the customer of all items whether in need of additional service or not. (CTO and CCO). Provide proper quotes.
• Make sure that the oil dipstick has been verified before directing any customer to start their vehicle.
• Properly complete all work order entries during and at the end of each service.
• Ensure 100% accurate completion of fleet services specific to each company’s fleet procedure.
• Assist with customer concerns and customer service issues for both owner operators and fleet business.
• Report safety incidents/accidents to Store Management.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on store equipment.
• Make sure shelves are properly stocked.
• Make sure all cores and used parts are disposed of properly.
• During slow times will assist with work on Lube Services.
• Complete any additional job duties assigned by the management staff.

Qualifications

• Must Have: 2+ years’ experience with semi-tractor oil, lubrication, and tire requirements.
• Displayed evidence of good mechanical skills and judgment.
• Ability to work un-supervised. Self-Starter.
• Ability to communicate clearly to management.
• Capable of performing inspections to FMCSA standards.
• Ability to stand, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
• Able to work various shift schedules.
• Good customer communication and service skills.
• Ability to communicate with customers in an informative sales approach.
• Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Standards/Regulations)
• Strong work ethic.
• Dependable.
• Able to take accountability for work.
• Must have or be able to secure Texas Commercial Inspector Certification
• ASE Certification preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.

Posted Salary Range
