Job description

Overview

We are hiring a Lube Technician in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role involves routine and non‑routine maintenance on Class 8 trucks and pickups, ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity of diesel‑powered assets.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, checking fluid levels, changing fluids and filters, and lubricating components.
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs under moderate supervision.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used; ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately; order repair parts from designated suppliers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
  • Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required.
  • Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures.
  • Move vehicles safely between job and work area.
  • Repair and maintain all shop equipment.
  • Clean vehicles as requested or required.
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred).
  • Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (preferred).
  • Beginner mechanical aptitude and 1 year of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Adherence to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Inventory of adequate mechanic tools to complete all assigned duties, maintained in a clean and safe manner.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions—100% of the job is performed outside, often alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on potentially sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
