Now hiring an Automotive or Diesel Mechanic for our shop serving Oklahoma City Environmental Trust! Transdev in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. All Techs play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

  • An additional $0.10 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain
  • An additional $0.50 per hour for obtaining your CDL

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections
  • Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately
  • Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license required
  • At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience
  • Mechanic’s toolset
  • ASE certifications preferred. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided)
  • Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason
Physical Requirements
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone, and in remote locations
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
