Job summary

Jenkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Homosassa is seeking a Lube Technician to service vehicles as directed by the Service Manager or team leads. Duties include checking and topping fluids, oil changes, and basic maintenance to ensure safe delivery. A valid driver's license and at least one year of servicing experience are required.

The ideal candidate will adapt to evolving automotive tech and may qualify to be a state-certified inspector. Excellent communication skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of vehicle servicing experience.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• State-certified inspector qualification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Expertly check all fluids and maintenance-related parts and top-off or replace as required.
• Possess knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact.
• Perform routine service inspections, oil/filter changes, lubricate chassis and major components.
• Drive vehicles on site as needed.
• Adapt to rapidly changing automotive technologies.
• Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible for servicing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or ASM. The Lube Tech checks the oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. He/She will know how to top off or replace these fluids and maintenance-related parts as required. In addition, the Lube Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on a new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Lube Technician has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience, an aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance, and strong analytical and communication skills. In addition, the Lube Technician will be (or be qualified to be) a state-certified inspector.
