Job summary

Jenkins Acura in Leesburg, FL is seeking a Lube Technician to service vehicles as directed by the Service Manager. You will check fluids, tires, filters, and other maintenance items to ensure optimal operation and reliability.

You may also perform pre-delivery inspections on new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order before delivery to customers. The ideal candidate has an unrestricted driver’s license, a clean driving record, and at least one year of vehicle-servicing

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience
• Unrestricted driver’s license with clean driving record
• Aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team

Responsibilities

• Check all fluids and perform top-offs or replacements as needed
• Inspect and replace filters, tires, windshield wiper fluid, and other maintenance-related parts
• Perform routine service inspections, oil changes, and chassis lubrication
• Drive vehicles on-site as needed and assist with maintenance tasks
• Stay updated with evolving automotive technologies and procedures

Job description

Job Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible for servicing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or ASM. The Lube Tech checks the oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. He/She will know how to top off or replace these fluids and maintenance-related parts as required. In addition, the Lube Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on a new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Lube Technician has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience, an aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance, and strong analytical and communication skills. In addition, the Lube Technician will be (or be qualified to be) a state-certified inspector.

• Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
• Perform routine service inspections, test, change engine oil/filter, lubricate chassis, and other major components
• Drive vehicles in and around the premises as needed
• Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry
• Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed
