Job summary

Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg is seeking a Lube Technician to service vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager and team leads. The role includes checking fluids, tire pressure and condition, filters, and related maintenance tasks, with potential pre-delivery inspections for new or used vehicles.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of vehicle-servicing experience, an unrestricted driver’s license and a keen interest in automotive maintenance, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check all fluids and top-off or replace fluids or filters/parts as required.
• Possess broad knowledge of how vehicles' components work and interact.
• Perform routine service inspections, oil/filter changes, lubricate chassis and major components.
• Drive vehicles on-site as needed.
• Adapt to changing automotive technologies.
• Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed.

Job description

Job Summary

The Lube Technician is responsible for servicing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or ASM. The Lube Tech checks the oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. He/She will know how to top off or replace these fluids and maintenance-related parts as required. In addition, the Lube Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on a new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Lube Technician has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience, an aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance, and strong analytical and communication skills. In addition, the Lube Technician will be (or be qualified to be) a state-certified inspector.
