Job summary

Jenkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Homosassa is seeking a Lube Technician to service vehicles as directed by the Service Manager and team leaders. You will check and top off fluids, inspect tires, filters, and essential components, and perform routine maintenance to keep vehicles in prime condition.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of vehicle-servicing experience, a valid driver's license, and strong analytical and communication skills. State inspection eligibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience.
• Unrestricted driver's license.
• State-certified inspector eligibility preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check all fluids and top-off or replace as required.
• Inspect tires and filters and replenish items as needed.
• Perform routine service inspections, oil/filter changes, lubrication, and major components.
• Drive vehicles on site for tests or positioning as required.
• Adapt to changing vehicle technologies and procedures.
• Perform routine servicing as directed by supervisor.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible for servicing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or ASM. The Lube Tech checks the oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. He/She will know how to top off or replace these fluids and maintenance-related parts as required. In addition, the Lube Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on a new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Lube Technician has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience, an aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance, and strong analytical and communication skills. In addition, the Lube Technician will be (or be qualified to be) a state-certified inspector.

• Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
• Perform routine service inspections, test, change engine oil/filter, lubricate chassis, and other major components
• Drive vehicles in and around the premises as needed
• Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry
• Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed
