Job summary

Vance Airscoop in Madison, WI is seeking a dedicated Lube Technician to join our locally owned, independent auto shop. You’ll work on a wide variety of makes and models, performing routine maintenance and repairs with a team-focused approach.

You’ll assist experienced techs, keep the shop safe, document work clearly, and deliver honest, quality service to customers. Full-time hours Monday–Friday with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive or lube technician experience preferred, but training is available.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely use common hand and shop tools.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes on all makes and models.
• Perform routine maintenance services, including fluid checks and top-offs.
• Inspect and replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, bulbs, and other maintenance items.
• Perform tire rotations and basic tire services.
• Check and maintain proper fluid levels, tire pressures, and vehicle safety items.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential maintenance or repair needs.
• Assist experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostic work as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow shop procedures and manufacturer service recommendations.
• Accurately document work performed and communicate any concerns to the service team.
• Provide professional, courteous service to every customer.
