Job summary

Mid-State Industrial Maintenance in Columbus, OH is seeking a motivated Lube Technician to perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations, following standard procedures.

You will document work, coordinate with parts, keep the shop tidy, and inform the Service Advisor about additional services and time estimates. No prior experience required; reliability and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Punctual and reliable
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair orders following dealership and factory standards.
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters.
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Keep shop area neat and clean.
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Work alongside seasoned technicians to grow knowledge of the brands serviced.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional services and time estimates.
