Job summary

Lithia's Grants Pass Auto Center is seeking a Lube Technician to support the service department in a fast-paced environment. You will perform routine vehicle maintenance and support diagnostic work.

You will handle repair orders, maintain tools, ensure safety, and provide quality customer service. Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is requested to meet dealership demands.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
• Dependability and a willingness to follow established processes and procedures
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose cause of malfunction; complete all work according to safety requirements
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results
• Maintain inventory of standard mechanic tools and keep workspace organized and clean.

Schedule: We ask that you have open availability to support dealership operations and customer demand. You will need to be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards

• Accurately record time spent repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as "special tools."
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
