Job summary

Lithia & Driveway is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician at Michael's Toyota of Bellevue in Bellevue, WA. The role involves learning and contributing to the service team, with a focus on basic mechanical skills and customer service.

This is a flat-rate, onsite position with weekend rotation and opportunities to advance within a large automotive group. Compensation starts at $19 per hour, with potential to earn up to $21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
• Preferred experience as express/quick lube technician, not required.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Team player focused on customer service.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions in vehicles.
• Complete all work per applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to verify quality of repairs.
• Record time spent on repairs using company clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on the repair order and test procedures.
• Provide and maintain a basic tool inventory for the job.
• Keep workspace organized and perform daily stall cleaning.
• Complete all required training.
• Obtain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing required training.

Schedule is on a rotation and will include some Saturdays. This position is located onsite in Bellevue WA and reports to the Service Manager. We're looking for Entry Level Automotive Technicians to join our busy service team! What You'll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, observing Lithia and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose cause of malfunction
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work
• Record time spent repairs using company time clocking procedures
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results
• The technician provides and maintains an inventory of normal mechanics tools. These tools include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels, and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained. The service department does not normally inventory these tools as "special tools."
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
• Complete all required training
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training

What You'll Bring

• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile. We prefer experience as an express/quick lube technician, but do not require it.
• Operate several cars, light trucks, and vans, with the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• A team player who is focused on providing outstanding customer service.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Total Rewards

Total Rewards Flat rate pay range for this role is $19-$21 per flagged hour. This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
