Job summary

Michael’s Toyota of Bellevue is seeking an entry level automotive technician to join our busy service team in Bellevue, WA. This role offers hands-on learning, a flat rate pay model, and opportunities to grow within a top dealership network.

The position requires basic mechanical skills and a valid driver’s license. Training and ongoing development are provided as part of our Lithia & Driveway team, with weekend rotation included.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles.
• Experience with express/quick lube preferred but not required.
• Valid driver''s license in your state of residence.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, observing Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair quality.
• Record time spent on repairs using clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair order and test procedures/results.
• Maintain inventory of common tools and keep workspace clean.

Entry Level Technician

Pay to be offered at $19 flat rate.

Schedule is on a rotation and will include some Saturdays.

This position is located onsite in Bellevue WA and reports to the Service Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, observing Lithia and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose cause of malfunction
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work
• Record time spent repairs using company time clocking procedures
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results
• The technician provides and maintains an inventory of normal mechanics tools. These tools include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels, and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained. The service department does not normally inventory these tools as "special tools."
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
• Complete all required training
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training

What You’ll Bring

• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
• We prefer experience as an express/quick lube technician, but do not require it.
• Operate several cars, light trucks, and vans, with the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• A team player who is focused on providing outstanding customer service.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Total Rewards

Flat rate pay range for this role is $19-$21 per flagged hour. This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation.

Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
