Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking a LATAM Senior Service Manager based in Brazil to lead technical planning and execution of LTSA and transactional maintenance across LATAM, with emphasis on Brazil.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute LTSA/Transactional maintenance in LATAM.

• Manage budget, safety, quality, schedule and resources for projects.
• Provide guidance to Service Execution teams on LATAM procedures.

Role Overview

This position is responsible for the overall technical planning and execution of maintenance events for Transactional and Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) in Latin America (LATAM) focused mostly in Brazil. Responsible for ensuring contractual requirements are met while successfully concluding inspections on/under budget . The LATAM Senior Service Manager is an advanced position that requires capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks with limited supervision as well as clearly communicate both internally and with customers. The LATAM Senior Service Manager must have the capability to make sound recommendations regarding safety, reliability and integrity of the products and services provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable and Responsible for the technical planning and execution of assigned Transactional and LTSA projects in LATAM.
• Lead technical pre-outage planning efforts in accordance with the LTSA Planning guidelines for all LTSA/Transactional contracted or potential scopes
• Lead the coordination of internal resources required to successfully carry out a Transactional or LTSA scheduled/unscheduled maintenance event in LATAM.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to contract local and international suppliers required to execute an inspection based on the projects Division of Responsibility (DOR)
• Manage satellite Tool Kit – replenishment, calibration and certification
• Coordinate and manage visa process for Service Execution personnel in LATAM
• Provides direction, leadership and guidance during the execution of a Transactional or LTSA planned/unplanned event to the assigned Service Execution team in areas including but not limited to EHS, quality, procedures, productivity, cost, schedule and resource utilization.
• Accountable for the overall performance, budget, quality, and schedule of the assigned projects
• Perform post outage reviews to identify best practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide feedback to all relevant departments
• Help in the development of new processes / improve current processes within LATAM.
• Support/coach new Project Managers and Field Engineers on LATAM procedures/processes.
• Support customer relationships to foster a collaborative approach to service event planning and execution.
• Collaborate with customers to maximize capable scope contracted with Mitsubishi Power
• Understanding of contractual requirements and deliverables
• Travel to customer sites for outage support

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree (BSME, BSEE) from four-year College or university; and/or a minimum of 10 years’ directly related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• A minimum of 5 years’ project management experience is required.
• Knowledge of gas turbine engineering including overall turbine configuration, gas turbine design, manufacturing, boundary conditions, temperatures, and materials. General knowledge of Steam Turbine and Generators

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Bilingual Portuguese/English required and Spanish/English preferred.
