Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a LTSA Service Manager to lead the planning, execution, and management of service scopes for customer contracts—including Long Term Service Agreements, maintenance agreements, and transactional services. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to manage complex field service operations with minimal supervision.

This will require a high level of collaboration with internal support teams and our customers to plan and implement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of power generation field service experience.
  • Strong technical experience with gas turbines, generators and steam turbines.
  • Proficient in budgeting, scheduling, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with outage planning using MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and practices.
  • Project management experience delivering high-value projects.
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Office suite, CRM, and SharePoint; Power BI is a plus.

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls.
  • Coordinate field service operations including tool and supplier management.

  • Support warranty resolution, parts logistics, and quality system implementation.
  • Track cross-functional planning efforts for outage event planning and logistics.
  • Maintain information in systems used across the company for outage planning.
  • Contribute to process improvement and departmental goals.
  • Communicate effectively with management with timely reporting.

Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power Americas Inc. is seeking a LTSA Service Manager to lead the planning, execution, and management of service scopes for customer contracts—including Long Term Service Agreements, maintenance agreements, and transactional services. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to manage complex field service operations with minimal supervision. This will require a high level of collaboration with internal support teams and our customers to plan and implement outages, applying engineering skills and commercial awareness while driving a zero-harm safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong collaborator who can lead cross-functional planning of outages and service events for execution
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
  • Coordinate field service operations, including tool and supplier management
  • Interface directly with customers to ensure contract compliance and satisfaction
  • Support warranty resolution, parts logistics, and quality system implementation
  • Track cross-functional internal planning efforts for outage event planning and logistic deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate information in various systems utilized across the company for outage planning.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals and support internal process improvement efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with management including timeliness and accuracy of required reporting activities.
  • Frequent travel to customer plant sites for planning outage and execution support
  • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, other Engineering disciplines, or equivalent degree from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Power Generation, preferably in field service
  • Strong technical experience with gas turbines, generators and steam turbines
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and technical documentation
  • Ability to create outage schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6) scheduling software
  • Can demonstrate a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and practices
  • Project management experience demonstrating the ability to deliver sophisticated and high value projects to customers.
  • Dedicated, self-starting, creative individual with a proven knowledge of combustion turbine plants, project engineering skills, & good commercial sense.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), CRM system experience, and basic sharepoint/database navigation. Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.
