Job summary

Mitsubishi Power in Brazil is seeking an LTSA Program Manager III to oversee long-term service agreements, outages planning, contract management, and parts repair management. The role requires leadership across teams and the ability to advise on safety, reliability, and integrity of products and services.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English and Portuguese technical and business material; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop full understanding of LTSA contract requirements.
  • Coordinate part repairs and ordering of new parts to support outages at customer sites.
  • Travel to customer plant sites to plan outages and address contract issues.
  • Explore opportunities to increase sales to customers.
  • Support/coach new PM’s and PE’s on procedures/processes.
  • Help in developing proposals for GTB’s / Improvement works.
  • Understand and follow the history of parts in the units; track hours, starts and remaining life.
  • Ensure parts required to implement an outage are on site prior to the start of the outage.
  • Expedite parts as required to support LTSA requirements.
  • Follow up on repair parts returning to support the next outage.
  • Reorder parts to replace non-repairable parts.
  • Forecast part requirements and arrange for LTSA parts.
  • Consult with MPW engineering on remaining life of parts.
  • Serve as focal point for resolution of commercial and technical issues.
  • Provide project administration including documentation of warranty issues.
  • Resolve warranty issues and help develop new processes.

Role Overview

This position is responsible for the overall management and implementation of Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA). Including but not limited to outage planning, contract management, covered parts rotation management and parts repair management. The LTSA Program Manager III is an advanced position that requires capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks with limited supervision. The manager must have the capability to make sound recommendations regarding safety, reliability and integrity of the products and services being provided. The LTSA Program Manager III will be given greater leadership responsibility and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop full understanding of LTSA contract requirements.
  • Coordination of part repairs and the ordering of new parts to support outages at the customer’s plant site;
  • Travel to customer plant sites for the purpose of planning outage requirements and meeting with the customer on all contract issues.
  • Explore opportunities to increase sales to customers
  • Support/coach new PM’s and PE’s on procedures/processes.
  • Help in developing proposals for GTB’s / Improvement works
  • Understand and follow the history of parts in the units. This includes the hours, starts and remaining life of parts in the unit and in repair;
  • Ensure parts required to implement an outage are on site prior to the start of the outage;
  • Expedite parts as required to support the LTSA contract requirements;
  • When an outage is complete, arrange to ship parts off site for repair;
  • Follow the status of repair parts while off site to ensure they return to support the next outage;
  • Reorder parts to replace non-repairable parts;
  • Forecast part requirements and arrange for parts required by the LTSA;
  • Follow part orders to ensure parts are manufactured to support outages;
  • Consult with MPW engineering on the remaining life of parts that have been in operation;
  • Serve as focal point for the resolution of commercial and technical issues;
  • Provide project administration including documentation of warranty issues;
  • Resolve warranty issues;
  • Help and lead in the development of new processes / improve current processes;
Requirement
  • Must have relevant and pertinent experience pertaining to the operations and maintenance of combustion and steam turbines. Must be able to demonstrate technical / commercial / communication / business skills
  • Must be adegreed engineer
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English and Portuguese. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic personal computer skills include electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and basic database.
